	St. Paul District Heating & Cooling with President Bush, Senator Coleman, Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham, EPA Director Christie Todd Whitman, and others tour the facility. St. Paul has been retrofitting buildings with district heating & cooling. A majority of the valves and controls installed have been Samson Controls.

Food & Dairy Industries

The pharmaceutical and food industries carry with them their own unique set of issues namely, serviceability and cleaning. Power Generation

SAMSON supplies a wide variety of control valve ranging from simple globe valves, high-quality feed-water and minimum flow recirculation control valves, steam pressure reducing stations and steam converters to complete high-pressure and low-pressure bypass stations as well as spray and steam atomizing desuperheaters.

Major issues dealt with in severe service valves include cavitation. SAMSON'S one-stage, multi-stage plugs, or perforated cage-type trims combined with fixed restrictors are used to solve such problems.

Valve designs include globe, angle or Z-type bodies in casted or forged versions that can be fitted with either flanges or butt-weld ends. Our actuator range comprises pneumatic, electric or hydraulic actuators that can be controlled conventionally or equipped with state-of-the-art bus technology conforming to Profibus or Foundation Fieldbus specifications.

With Welland & Tuxhorn complimented with SAMSON’S own line of severe service valves, such as the series 280, we are able to easily cater to the special needs of the power generation industry.
